INFERTILITY

INFERTILITY - Information , Symptoms, Causes And Treatment of INFERTILITY

Infertility is generally defined as not being able to get pregnant despite trying for one year. In other sense, we can say that infertility means-not being able to carry to pregnancy to term and are unable to produce a baby.

Symptoms of INFERTILITY

  • primary symptom of alopecia areata is roundish patches of hair loss on the head, with smooth, hairless scalp in the affected areas. Alopecia total is involves the complete loss of all scalp hair, and alopecia universalism is characterized by the complete loss of all body hair.
  • Hairs that look like exclamation points are sometime seen at the edges of a bald patch.

Causes of INFERTILITY

Treatment of INFERTILITY

Treatment of infertility depends on the cause, the duration of the problem, the age of the partners and their specific wishes. Some causes of infertility can't be corrected. However, various means of insemination or embryo transfer may be possible so that a woman can still become pregnant.

Most of the infertility cases are treated with drugs or surgery. There are various fertility drugs which may be used for women suffering with ovulation problems. Depending on the type of fertility drug and the dosage of the drug used, multiple births such as twins can occur in some women.

If necessary, the surgery can be done to repair damage to a woman's ovaries fallopian tubes or uterus. Man's infertility problem can be corrected by surgery. Nowadays, Assisted reproductive Technology (ART) is also used to help infertile couples. It chiefly consists of In Vitro-fertilization, Gamete intra--fallopian transfer or Zygote intra0fallopian transfer.

Prevention of INFERTILITY
Taking care of oneself by eating healthfully, not smoking , and limiting alcohol and drug consumption , there really are not any preventive measures that either men or women can take to guard against infertility. Patients who are significantly overweight are strongly urged to lose weight, because being overweight is not only a risk factor for infertility, it also reduces the likelihood that treatment will be successful.
