Tinea Cruris And It's Treatment

Tinea cruris is an infection of the groin caused by a fungus.it is a fungal infection of the groin more common in men and women.

Causes of Tinea Cruris

Its caused by a fungus
Its only minimally contagious; direct person to person contact rarely leads to spreading of tinea cruris.

Treatment of Tinea Cruris

  1. Do not share towels with people in communal changing rooms.
  2. Keep your own towel when you have a fungal skin infection to reduce the chance of passing on the fungus to othersWash towels frequently.
  3. Change underwear daily. Fungi may multiply in flakes of skin in unwashed underwear.
  4. Dry the groin carefully after bathing using a separate towel.
  5. Avoid wearing occlusive or synthetic clothing.
